All the developer needs to generate report from their developed application/system. There are lots of free and commercial libraries available, one of them is Jasper Report Library. Jasper Report Library is the world's most popular open source reporting library, which can be used in any java application. This library is pure Java Library which can be used to generate any kinds of report. You can use this library in your java application which makes easier to export the report into different formats eg: pdf, xls, xlsx, doc etc.
Jasper Report uses jrxml file which is a xml file for generating report. We can use a visual designer tool, iReport which can be installed standalone or integrated with your favorite Java IDEs (Netbeans and Eclipse).
